Lahore: Heavy rains lashed Lahore on Sunday, inundating roads and streets in almost whole megacity.
After a spell of hot and humid weather, it rained heavily, turning many city areas into ponds and puddles. In some low laying areas, accumulated rainwater entered houses and damaged household items.
Administration seemed helpless and unprepared to cope with the situation. However, some official sources claimed that the accumulated rainwater would be pumped out in a few hours.
