Heirs of Zara Mangi demand stern legal action against two WMOs

LARKANA:The heirs and relatives of 10-year-old little girl Zara Mangi, who was raped and brutally murdered in village Moria Fakeer near here 24 days ago, Sunday appealed to Chief Justices of Pakistan and Sindh to take suo moto notice of the tragic incident as, according to them, a new conspiracy is being hatched to give new turn to the case to save accused persons.

The victim family also appealed to law enforcement agencies and civil society to help them in achieving justice. While addressing a press conference at Naundero Press Club, Amir Ali Mangi, father of the deceased girl, brother Shoaib Mangi, uncle Abdul Halim and poet Manzoor Mangi alleged that the murder case of Zara Mangi would be ruined and real accused benefited through a conspiracy as the accused were very influential.

Amir Mangi said that women of accused Hafeez Morio came to them and pressurized that the accused was not involved. They said they had shifted to other village Tagar and some of them had shifted to Khairpur due to fear of lives.

They said: “There are 21 homes of Mangi community in Moria Fakeer village who are also prepared to leave their ancestral village for fear as Zara Mangi case has created lot of panic in and around the village.” They also demanded stern legal action against the two women medical officers who conducted what they called fake autopsy at the very outset as per the findings of the exhumation board. They also demanded protection under rule of law.

On the other hand, family members of accused Sheeraz Morio told newsmen while addressing press conference in Larkana Press Club Sunday that real accused in the Zara Mangi case were Sheeraz Morio, Mumtaz alias Don Soomro and Azhar alias Sheedu Morio and not Hafeez Morio and Hashim Morio. They demanded exemplary punishment to all the accused under the law. They also demanded of DIGP Larkana Irfan Baloch to remove JIT member Yasin Tagar with whom, they alleged, they have dispute over land.
