Hot weather hits Sindh

KARACHI:Hot and dry weather prevailed in Sindh with highest temperature of 49 degrees centigrade in Moen-jo-Daro on Tuesday.

Highest temperature in degrees centigrade in other cities is as 48 in Dadu, Jacobabad, Larkana, Nawabshah and Sukkur; 43 in Hyderabad; 42 in Tandojam; 41 in Karachi and Mithi. A shallow westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 24 hours.

During the past 24 hours, weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country while very hot weather was observed in upper Sindh, Makran, Sibbi, Sargodha divisions. Light rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at few places in Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan.
