KARACHI:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Amjad Javed Saleemi on Sunday ordered foolproof security arrengements throughout Sindh province on the occasion of the 71th Independence Day.
He directed police officials to take stern action against one-wheeling on roads, vehicles having substandard silencers creating noise and those bathing in the sea.
Saleemi said that All Station House Officers should make security in their supervision in their respective areas besides being present there on the eve of the Independence Day.
He said that extraordinary security should also ensured in and out of the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Snap checking, surveillance and secret monitoring measures and operation against crimes should be accelerated in the province, particularly in Karachi.
IGP said that crackdown against crimes at the range of districts and zones should be conducted. Security arrangements for the events happening on the Independence Day should also be made at police station level.
