IGP orders strict security during last 10 Ashra of Ramzan

KARACHI:  Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh AD Khowaja on Tuesday directed police to make foolproof security measures for the last Ashra of Ramzan, especially on occasions of Youm-e-Ali and Shab-e-Qadar in the Sindh province.

He directed all DIGs and SSPs to ensure effective security arrangements for the processions of Youm-e-Ali to be taken out across Sindh, including Karachi. He ordered deployment of policemen in all sensitive places including mosques, Taraveeh places, Imambargahs.

According to a report, in the last Ashra of Ramzan 3154 policemen and officers along with 750 police mobiles and 823 motorcycles will be stationed in sensitive areas to maintain law and order in Karachi.
