IOK: (Mirwaiz hails Imran Khan’s statement on IOK killings)

ISLAMABAD:In Occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyet Forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has appreciated the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, for condemning the killings in the territory.

In a tweet he said, People of Kashmir appreciate Pakistan’s concern over human rights abuses in the valley by Indian occupied forces.

Meanwhile, the Joint Resistance Leadership has sent a petition to the Secretary General of United Nations, Antonio Guterres, urging him to play his role in ending the killing spree and human rights abuses in the territory.

In the petition, the JRL asked the United Nations to stop being a mute spectator towards the extreme repression over the people of Kashmir by the Indian state.

Meanwhile, occupied forces imposed stringent restrictions in Srinagar, today to prevent a march towards Lal Chowk area of the city.

Call for the march and a sit-in at the city centre has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership to register protest against the fresh spate of killings by Indian troops in the territory.
