KCSA to plant 30,000 trees in Karachi this month

KARACHI:Karachi City Sports Association (KCSA) in collaboration with Rahnuma Organisation on Wednesday urged Karachiites to support their plantation campaign starting from 11 August 2018.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi Press Club (KPC), KCSA president Aslam Hussain, along with Shoukat Ali Shah, Seema and Abdul Rehman, said that KCSA had always arranged sport events for youth but on this 14th August, it would bring the gift of 50,000 plants for Karachiites, and 20,000 trees will be planted by KCSA while 30,000 plants would be gifted to the citizens.

He said that planting trees and establishing greenery is the solution to get rid of pollution and through it, Pakistan could be developed. ‘’We are affected by pollution and climate change problems, so more and more trees should be planted in the country, specially in Karachi to resolve the problems.”

Hussain said that pollution is very harmful to human and animals health and had became a critical issue of the country, so that we all have to enhance tree plantation in the country. He said: “Population of Karachi is at least 20 million and if 10 percent of the population plants trees in their respective areas, then two million trees can be planted in this city.”
