KARACHI:Former Information Minister of Sindh and new-elected MPA Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Tuesday said his party has also given priority to the uplift of the megacity Karachi and it would continue this trend.
Talking with journalists during his visit to the Karachi Press Club (KPC), he said that cases pertaining to money laundering against PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur are being investigated. He complained that some elements were busy in propaganda against Asif Zardari in money laundering cases.
Shah said the FIA officers had already investigated the case. He asked why the money laundering case was opened during elections?
Talking about the PPP’s opposition alliance in Sindh he said that such kind of alliances were also made in past but they were defeated by the people of Sindh. Shah said PPP has always focused on Karachi and carried out development projects in the megacity, and also maintained its law and order situation.
He said PPP has some reservations about the Chief Election Commissioner. He said however PPP has always supported democracy and its alliance with PML-N in National Assembly was made after consultation with senior party leaders.
