Karachi: The general meeting of the Council of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation was held in the council hall of KMC Building on Wednesday.
Mayor Waseem Akhtar presided over the meeting in which three resolutions were passed with majority vote.
In a resolution, the Government of Sindh was asked to increase the union councils’ fund from Rs0.2million Rs0.6million so that the councils could work properly and resolve the problems of citizens.
In another resolution, a contract of recovery of charged parking fees from 27 different locations in the city for the year 2018 was approved.
The council also gave approval of the surrender of grant in aid amount of Rs1million from budget head No. V-A1-5(i) and its re-appropriation in the budget head No.V-E-5(iii) for purchase of chemicals and medicines for City Sports Complex, KMC.
