KARACHI:On the request of the Vice Chancellor, University of Karachi, Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board is replacing portions of the old, rusted and leaked water pipelines of Karachi University.
One of the main water pipelines which supplies water to majority of the city passes through the KU and as no maintenance was carried out in the past, this pipeline was leaking from various locations and also flooded the University’s graveyard including couple of other places.
The KU VC Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan had discuss this issue with the Managing Director KWSB Asadullah Khan and asked him to provide durable solution. The KWSB responded on time and started the repair work and control the situation.
The replacing of leaked and rusted pipeline’s portions has been started and KWSB believes work would be completed in coming days. The KU VC Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan appreciated the MD KWSB role in providing immediate support and expressed that this coordination would continue in future as well.
