KHAIRPUR: Burglars stealing a buffalo shot dead a man near Pir jo Goth in district Khairpur in the wee hours of Sunday.
A gang of unidentified burglars entered Nisar Mangi’s house at Mangi Muhalla in Kot Mir Mohammad near Pir jo Goth and took away a buffalo. Shortly after the theft, the house owners woke up and chased the burglars with the help of neighbours. As they reached near them, thieves opened fire, killing Nisar Mangi, the owner of buffalo.
The deceased’s heirs said that they had informed the police but they did not come, while the villagers are searching for the burglars on self-help basis. The body was shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. A mourning atmosphere was prevalent in the locality.
