Maryam invites Bilawal for Jati Umra meeting

LAHORE:Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Saturday invited Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto to attend a meeting at Jati Umra on Sunday, June 16. The invitation was made through a telephonic talk.

The PPP chairman has accepted the invitation and decided to reach the Sharif residence at 2.30 pm on Sunday. The two leaders will discuss prevalent political situation in the country.

The invitation is viewed as response to Bilawal’s Iftar party last month in Islamabad for the opposition leaders in which he had invited Maryam to devise strategy against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. He had also hosted PML-N’s Hamza Shehbaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Ayaz Sadiq among others.

During Sunday’s meeting, senior party leaders will accompany Bilawal and Maryam. They are likely to discuss the upcoming APC as well as the arrests of Faryal Talpur, Asif Ali Zardari and Hamza Shahbaz.
