Medics hold demo for job regularization, allowances

GAMBAT:The members of Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association Unit Gambat held a protest demonstration outside the OPD of the hospital here on Tuesday for acceptance of their demands.

The protesters, carrying placards and banners, demonstrated against the administration for depriving them of their due rights of health professional allowance, risk allowance and utility allowance.

They chanted slogans against the administration for showing negligence and bias. The protest was led by Rahib Ali, Momin Ali Junejo, Mohammad Umar and Qurban.

The leaders said that the jobs of unconfirmed employees should be regularized besides providing health professional, risk and utility allowances with immediate effect.

They said the price hike had made the lives of the employees difficult, therefore, rise in the allowances is mandatory. They said that the government had kept health sector on top priority, so their issues should be resolved on priority basis.

They asked the government to come forward with concrete measures and play due role for accepting their all genuine demands so that they could pass their lives peacefully with their families, including children.
