Minister: (FM calls for resolution of bilateral disputes in South Asia for durable peace)

ISLAMABAD:Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has stressed for resolution of bilateral disputes in South Asia for durable peace and stability in the region.

He was talking to President of International Crisis Group Robert Malley in New York. He said Indian government has made hostage eight million Kashmiris by clamping the worst curfew in occupied Kashmir.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the situation is so dire that the Kashmiris have no access to essential commodities including food and medicines.

The Foreign Minister said international media and human rights organizations are exposing the Indian oppression in occupied valley.

Talking to media along with Kashmiri leaders in New York, Foreign Minister said Indian attempts to hoodwink the international community on the situation in Occupied Kashmir will not succeed.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said India is lying and misleading the world about state of affairs in Occupied Kashmir. He demanded that India should immediately lift the curfew and let the international observers visit the area to assess the real situation in the held valley.

He said he has sent a detailed letters to UN Secretary General and President of the Security Council giving a comprehensive view of the situation in Occupied Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, veteran Kashmiri leader Ghulam Nabi Fai said Indian authorities have turned the valley into hell.
