Opinion Poll: (15% Pakistanis claim to have considered installing surveillance cameras)

ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 15% Pakistanis claim to have considered installing surveillance cameras for the safety of their home or business.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces who claim they do not have surveillance cameras installed at their home or business, was further asked, “If you have not installed a CCTV camera to protect/monitor your home or business yet, have you ever thought of installing one?” In response to this question, 15% said yes and 85% said no.

Question: “If you have not installed a CCTV camera to protect/monitor your home or business yet, have you ever thought of installing one?”

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1703 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, November 12- November 18, 2017. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
