Opinion Poll: (51% of Pakistanis believe India will accept Imran Khan’s offer to engage in dialogue: Poll)

ISLAMABAD:According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan on the issue of India-Pakistan relations post Pulwama Attack (full report available at http://gallup.com.pk/pakistani-opinion-remains-calm-and-unprovoked-during-threat-of-war-with-india/), 51% believe India will accept Imran Khan’s offer to engage in dialogue, 47% doubt it.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Prime Minister Imran Khan once again invited India for peace talks. How likely do you think it is that India will accept this offer from Prime Minister Imran Khan?”

In response to this question, 13% said it is very likely, 38% said it is somewhat likely, 26% find is less unlikely and 21% find it very unlikely. 2% didn’t know or did not wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1044 men and women in urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during 02 March – 05 March, 2019. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
