ISLAMABAD:According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 60% Pakistanis believe that older people are well taken care of in our society, 30% think otherwise.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Do you think the society we live in takes enough care of the elderly?” In response to this question, 60% said yes, 30% said no while 10% did not know or respond to the question.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1450 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, October 29-November 05, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
