Pace of uplift projects satisfactory: minister

Karachi:Caretaker Sindh Minister for Irrigation, Public Health Engineering, Rural Development, Inter Provincial Coordination and Excise and Taxation Mushtaq Ahmed Shah has said that in Rural Development Department pace of development projects is satisfactory.

He said there are 64 ongoing schemes, 63 are old and one new , being carried out with a total cost of Rs3533 .9695 million.

Presiding over a meeting in his office here on Tuesday, he said that 49 scheme were ongoing in communication sector , 04 in water sector, 08 in sanitation sector, while 02 in housing and community amenities.

Shah expressing his satisfaction over the progress of ongoing development schemes asked the Chief Engineer for speed up work in order to complete these schemes in stipulated time.
