KARACHI:Former Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad’s brother Amirul Ibad was arrested on late Friday night by City court’s Investigation police from Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the metropolis.
According to sources, a lawyer, Tariq Niazi had filed a case against Amir over a bounced cheque of Rs4million.Amir’s wife alleged that the police officials forcefully took her husband out of the house to arrest him.
She claimed that the cheque on the basis of which her husband was arrested was a guaranteed stock payment cheque.However, police said Amirul Ibad was taken into custody for investigating.
