KARACHI:Karachi police on Sunday claimed to have overpowered two criminal in injured condition in separate encounters on Sunday.
According to IGP Sindh office, an Awami Colony police team signaled five suspects riding three bikes on Qabristan Road at Saima Villas, Sector 10, but the accused opened fire on the police.
In retaliatory firing by the police, an accused, Mohammad Aslam, son of Mohammad Bux, was injured. The police arrested him. However, his four accomplices managed to flee under the cover of firing. The police have started search for the fleeing accused.
The police also recovered a 30-bore pistol with three rounds, a bike and a mobile phone from his possession.
In another encounter, Zaman town police arrested an alleged criminal, Nawaz Khan, in injured condition and recovered a 30-bore pistol with four rounds. The police have started further investigation into the case.
