ISLAMABAD:A three-day anti-polio campaign will begin in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) today (Monday).
According to a report quoting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department more than six point seven million children up to five years of age will be administered anti-polio drops.
About twenty-six thousand teams have been constituted, which will visit door to door to ensure administering anti-polio drops to the children.
Polio teams will also be available at railway stations, bus stands and other public places to ensure administering anti-polio drops to each and every child.
Special security measures have been taken for security of polio teams. A three-day anti-polio campaign also begins in Gilgit-Baltistan on Monday. More than 238,000 children of five years will be administered anti polio vaccine.
For this purpose, 1400 teams have been constituted to administer anti-polio drops to children in Gilgit Baltistan. Polio teams will also be available at in-coming and out-going points of all the districts to make the campaign successful.
