PPP stages big sit-in against PTI’s anti-people policies

THATTA: Pakistan Peoples Party’s senior leaders, a large number of workers and thousands of citizens of Thatta district observed a sit-in outside Thatta Press Club against the PTI-led government’s anti-people policies, water scarcity, unannounced power-gas load-shedding and sacking thousands of government employees from their services

The sit-in was attended by the senior leaders of PPP, including Senator Sassui Palijo, Sadiq Ali Memon, Abdul Hameed Soomro, Abdul Hameed Panhwar, Imtiaz Ahmed Qureshi and others.

While addressing the huge crowd of the people, Senator Sassui Palijo said that today the people of the Thatta were staging the sit-in against termination of employees, alleged power outages and water scarcity in Sindh. She said that present government was incompetent and was ruling on dictatorial principles while its worst anti-people policies had caused the miserable situation for the common people of Pakistan.

She said that incompetent and incapable Imran Khan’s government was sucking the blood of the people in the country by skyrocketing inflation, unannounced load-sheding and high ratio of joblessness. Palijo further said that more than 16,000 employees from different federal government’s departments belonging to Sindh province had been sacked. It was highly condemable and regrettable act of the PTI government.

Sassui uttered that IRSA authorities were doing injustice with the Sindh province over the distribution of due water share as per water accord of 1991. She maintained that Sindh province had been facing scarcity of water continuously due to failure of IRSA on implementation of water accord. On this occasion, PPP workers also chanted slogans against the injustices of the federal government.
