KARACHI: Sindh United Party (SUP) Karachi division on Wednesday staged a token hunger strike outside Karachi Press Club (KPC) against NADRA.
People belonging to different political parties participated in hunger strike. It was led by SUP Chairman Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah, Zain Shah, Sindh National Party (SNP) Chairman Ameer Bhanbhuro, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) leader Asif Baladi and Khalil Ansari.
The leaders alleged that NADRA is issuing National Identity Card (NIC) to aliens. They said the NADRA chairman had directed the staff to complete registration process of NICs of aliens as soon as possible. They said that NADRA has formed mobile teams to register aliens in their homes.
They demanded that registration of aliens should be stopped.
