KARACHI: Two families held separate protest demos here Tuesday against alleged murders of two young men in fake police encounters.
A family from Qazi Ahmed town on Tuesday held a protest demonstration outside Karachi Press Club (KPC) against extra judicial killing of their young son a few days back.
They said that their son Muharram Brohi was allegedly murdered by police personnel at his house on the 3rd February near Qazi Ahmed. They said they have already lodged FIR against policemen Gul and Rasheed but yet no arrests are made.
Separately, another family from Naushehro Feroz held a demonstration against alleged murder of their young son, Shafiq Ahmed Solangi.
The family members, Wazeeran Solangi, Khan Muhammad Solangi and Rafiq Solangi later staged a hunger strike in-front the KPC.
Wazeeran Solangi said that Naushehro Feroz police on 08 May 2017 detained her husband Khan Mohammad Solangi along with his son Shafiq Solangi. Later, Shafiq was killed in police custody as the family could not pay Rs3Lakh bribe.
The protesting families requested SHC Chief Justice, IGP Sindh AD Khowaja, and Sindh Chief Minister to dole them out justice and order inquiries into the coldblooded murders.
