KARACHI:The weather in the metropolis turned pleasant after many areas received light rain on Sunday morning.
Various areas of Karachi including Nazimabad, Saddar, Meethdar, Kharadar, Tower, University Road, Nazimabad, North, Site, and other areas received light shower.
Electricity supply remained affected in several parts of the city, which is a routine in Karachi during heavy or light rains.
The weather department has predicted partially cloudy weather in the city today with chances of drizzle.It further stated that the spell of monsoon rains will begin from Sunday (today) and continue until Tuesday.The weather department instructed that necessary steps be taken at hospitals across the Sindh province.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, widespread rains with gusty winds are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions), upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Lahore divisions), Islamabad and Kashmir, while at scattered places in Kohat, Bannu, Karachi divisions, at isolated places in D.G Khan, Multan, Sahiwal, Zhob, D.I khan, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Kalat divisions and Gilgit Baltistan.
