LARKANA: Divisional Commissioner Larkana Shafiq Ahmad Mehsir said that Rabi-ul-Awwal is a blessed month for all of us Muslims, in which Allah bestowed humanity with His beloved Prophet Mohammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) and blessed the millions of people around the world. 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal will be celebrated with great devotion, respect and great joy, just as every year.
He expressed these views in his office on Monday while presiding over a 12-member high level meeting on Rabi-ul-Awwal. The Commissioner said that all the bodies of the Larkana Division will carry out their duties in order to celebrate this blessed month very well. Police, Rangers and security agencies will play a pivotal role in this regard and full security will be given to the procession which will be held on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal like Muharram al-Haram and Chehlum.
He directed all the deputy commissioners of five districts of Larkana division to complete all arrangements in their respective areas and said that they should cooperate closely with the leaders of the religious organizations to ensure cleanliness and lighting. He directed the health department officials to make proper arrangements and ensure the availability of medicines so that any potential adverse conditions could be overcome. The relief teams should be on alert. The Commissioner reassured religious scholars that all resources would be utilized by the Sindh government to ensure that the Eid Milad Nabi day passes very well. If there is any security problem then notify the police, rangers or administration in a timely manner.
The Commissioner further said that control rooms should be set up at district level in this regard and lighting should be done on public buildings. He further said that the Loudspeaker Act should be followed in every case and no electricity load shedding should be committed.
Speaking on the occasion, a Rangers official said that Islam is a religion of peace, love and brotherhood. He thanked the scholars and divisional and district administration who supported the occasion on the occasion of Muharram al-Haram and Chehlum, I hope that the same cooperation will continue on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal is well passed. “We and you all have a duty to keep an eye on the terrorists and to report any suspects immediately,” he added. He further said that the Code of Conduct should be fully implemented and respect each other.
On the occasion, the DIG Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh informed the Commissioner about the police security-proof security within the Larkana division and added that security arrangements have been arranged in accordance with Rabi-ul-Awal and patrols have also been extended and our cooperation will continue in full swing. So that this blessed day may be passed with good fortune. The DIG further said that as you know that this day is celebrated with regard to the coming of the Prophet, we should cooperate with each other and express our love for each other in front of brotherhood.

On the occasion, he instructed the police officials to keep vigilant in order to keep the peace at all times, hotels and passenger rooms should be scrutinized again so that no evil person can enter. He said that whatever programs and processions will be out there on the day should be kept in mind so that no horror entertainment of any kind can be made. Permission is not allowed as Section 144 has been imposed to prevent violations and action will be taken against the violators.
Speaking at the meeting, the Ulama said that Islam is a religion of peace, love and our message is also peace, love, love. “We assure the divisional and district administration that we will be fully supportive of you and we are all like brothers,” he said.
Deputy Commissioners of all the districts attended the meeting via video link and informed about the arrangements made in their respective districts during the day, on which the Commissioner expressed satisfaction that even better steps could be taken.
