KARACHI:In the Election of Pakistan Artificial Leather Importers and Merchants Association (PALIMA) for 2019-20, Fahim ur Rehman Sehgal have been elected as a Chairman, While Khurram Ejaz, Senior Vice Chairman and Fahad Shahid, succeeded to VP seat unopposed.
For Executive Committee seats, Fahim ur Rehman Sehgal, Khurram Ejaz, Fahad Shahid, Abu Bakar Ashfaqe, Farhan Zia, Amjad Majeed Bawa were succeeded. In the General body meeting, the outgoing Chairman Anjum Naseem handed over the responsibilities to the newly elected office bearers.
On this occasion, Founder Chairman and Group Leader of PALIMA, Shabbir Manasha Chara, congratulated the newly elected office bearers and executive committee members, hoping to utilize their skills and play a vital role in solving the problems facing Artificial Leather sector.
Shabbir Manasha Chara said that, it was very difficult to run a business due to the economic crisis and exorbitant taxes, we requested to government to take steps to prevent smuggling under Afghan transit trade, so as to save the Artificial Leather sector from destruction.
