SHC condoles AyazSoomro’s demise

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh on Tuesday discharged the board to condole the demise of Larkana District Bar former president and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) MNA AyazSoomro.

Soomro, who was suffering from heart disease for last several months, died on Tuesday in a hospital at in Manhattan, United States.

Hearing the news of Soomro’s demise, the SHC Chief Justice discharged the board; however, the hearings of important cases were conducted in the judges’ chambers.

Soomro was a lawyer by profession and remained a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan from Larkana and served as president of Larkana District Bar for ten years.

Besides, he held MPA office twice from 2002 to 2013 and served as minister for law, sports, jail, livestock and fisheries on different occasions during PPP term from 2008 to 2013. In the general elections 2013, Soomro was elected as MNA from Larkana.
