SHC extends interim bail of Sardar, Burhan Chandio

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday extended interim bail of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Sardar Khan Chandio and Burhan Khan Chandio in a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inquiry pertaining to alleged illegal lease of government land.

A SHC bench heard an interim bail plea of both real brothers and extended their interim bail.

During the hearing, the NAB prosecutor argued that after completion in inquiry, it has been forwarded to NAB headquarters for investigation against accused.

He also informed the court that they have also written to NAB headquarters for its reply on report so they may be given more time.

The court approved NAB prosecutor’s plea and adjourned the hearing till 7th April.

The PPP leaders are alleged to have leased government land illegally to an oil company.
