SHC grants protective bail to Zardari’s tax consultant

KARACHI:Another accused of money laundering case approached Sindh High Court (SHC) to avoid got arrest.

Javed Alvi, who is said to be tax consultant of former president Asif Ali Zardari’s family, approached SHC for getting protective bail in money-laundering case.

Alvi told the court that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had issued him call-up notice so it should be stopped from arresting him.

He filed plea through his counsel Farooq H. Naek who told the court that his client is ready to cooperate with the NAB in its investigation but it should be stopped from arresting his client.

The court granted him protective bail for two weeks.

Javed Alvi is tax consultant of Asif Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari.

The NAB had summoned Alvi for interrogation in investigation of the money laundering case.
