SHC sets date to hear petition against food authority

KARACHI:Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday set the date for hearing of a petition filed by owner of an eatery against Sindh Food Authority pertaining to an incident in which two children had died on 10th November on Saturday night after they ate ‘unhygienic food’ at Arizona Grill – a restaurant in Karachi’s DHA.

The SHC sets Tuesday 20th November date for the hearing. The petitioner said that Sindh Food Authority has started a media campaign against them and it was misguiding media and public.

He said food authority had not sealed their restaurant but they voluntary closed down their restaurant, when the food authority officials came there.

He pleaded the court that Sindh Food Authority should be stopped from campaigning against them on media.

The court, later, adjourned the hearing till 20th November (tomorrow).
