SHCC organizes training sessions for doctors and staff

KARACHI:Directorate of Clinical Governance and Training Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC) conducted training session for Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) for quality improvement in healthcare.

The Directorate of Clinical Governance and Training also organized training sessions on Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) in Sukkur, Ghotki and Khairpur.

The training sessions started with brief discussion on the aims and objectives of SHC and then afterwards training was given on Minimum Service Delivery Standards.

In each city, doctor and staff of 25-30 tertiary care hospitals attended these sessions. Till date, 90 Health Care Establishment (HCEs) has been trained in Sukkur division.

On the other hand, Directorate of Anti-Quackery SHCC has sealed in this week 59 clinics in Karachi and 24 clinics in Jamshoro. A total of 1,498 Healthcare Establishments (HCEs) were sealed across the Sindh so far.

The Directorate of Licensing and Accreditation SHCC has received 7,529 applications for registration till date and in this week, registration certificates were issued to 82 HCEs, bringing total number of registration certificates issued to 5283.

After issuance of final notice of registration to HCEs, Directorate of Licensing and Accreditation started issuing warnings to unregistered HCEs and after 30th June 2019, 536 warning were issued and non-compliance will result in closing down/sealing of the HCEs’.

Directorate of Complaint has received 78 complaint till date out of which 46 complaints are disposed of, 27 complaints are under process while 5 are sub-judice.

CEO SHCC Dr Minhaj Qidwai also had a meeting with Chairman Consumer Association of Pakistan Kaukab Iqbal.

In the meeting areas of mutual interest were discussed that how SHCC and Consumer Association of Pakistan can collaborate in different avenues to create awareness in general public regarding issues of healthcare and quackery.
