SMIU Model School’s upgradation announced

KARACHI:Sindh Madressatul Islam University’s (SMIU) Vice Chancellor DrMohammad Ali Shaikh on Wednesday announced the upgradation of SMIU Model School from secondary to higher secondary level and said that its first year admissions will commence this year.

He said this while chairing a meeting of SMIU Model School teachers on the first day of their return from summer vacation, which was held at SMIU’s Senate Hall. Shaikh said that SMIU Model School would also be expanded and construction work of its another building would be started within one month. He said SMIU Model School was working well, but it needed more improvement as it was known in the past.

Shaikh further said that the school is an integral part of Sindh Madressatul Islam University, this was why we were giving equal attention and importance to it, but its teachers had to perform their duties with dedication and devotion.

“The teachers will be promoted on the performance basis in the next grades; therefore, they have to give their quality time to the teaching of the students by considering them like their own children,” DrShaikh said and added that SMIU provided all modern facilities to teachers, administrative staff and students of the school, and in the response, the teachers have a prime responsibility to produce best students, who may play their constructive role in development of the nation and of the country.

SMIU Model School Principal MsNabeelaKanwal, teachers, Registrar Gulzar Ahmed Mughal, Director Finance Ghulam Ali Surhio, Director HR Shakeel Ahmed Abro and others also attended the meeting.
