Karachi: Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) is organizing the 17th edition of National Men and Women Netball Championships 2018 from May 4 to 7 at Hamidi Hall, Pakistan Sports Board Complex in Islamabad.
The teams namely Army, WAPDA, Air Force, Navy, Police, Railway, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Baluchistan, KPK, Gilgit, Sindh, Punjab, Islamabad, FATA and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) will be seen in action during the tournament. Army Men’s team and Sindh Women’s are defending champions in their respective events.
The top five teams will qualify for 33rd National Games 2018. Meanwhile, one host team will also be taking part in the National Games.
PNF will also select the men and women netball players for upcoming international competitions.
PNF is planning to send Pakistan women team to Asian Women Netball Championship 2018 to be held in Singapore in the last week of August 2018.
Pakistan players may also get a chance to feature in AAMMNA Netball Championship 2018 to be held in Melbourne, Australia in the month December 2018.
Meanwhile, Pakistan officials may also attend Asian Netball Umpiring Course 2018 to be held in Singapore in July 2018.
