Survey: (47% opine if a facility was available, they would like to consult a doctor on mobile phone)

ISLAMABAD:According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 47% Pakistanis opine that if a facility was available, they would like to consult a doctor on mobile phone if someone from their family is sick, 47% say they would not.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “If anyone in your family is sick (God forbid), would you like to consult a doctor through your mobile phone?” In response to this question, 47% said yes, 47% said no while 6% did not know or respond to the question.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1547 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, September 03 – September 10, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
