KASHMORE: A thief was killed and a house inmate injured in a clash during a pilferage bid near Kashmore town in the wee hours of Tuesday.
A gang of four thieves entered a house in the darkness in village Miandad Zardari near Kashmore when inmates woke up resulting in firing from the thieves, said the house owners. Then thieves beat up Rafiq Ahmed Jakhrani ruthlessly in the house.
Later villagers chased the thieves and gunned down one of them, identified as Sheeran, son of Rasula Dasti. They also overpowered one thief. However, two thieves managed to flee under the cover of fire.
The injured house owner was rushed to a local hospital for the first aid and then shifted to Rahimyar Khan Hospital for further treatment due to his precarious condition. The police rushed to the scene, lodged a report and started further investigation. No FIR could be registered till filing the news.
