SHIKARPUR: A tractor driver was gunned down by armed men in katcha area of Shah Belo with the jurisdiction of Chak police station in district Shikarpur on Tuesday.
According to a report, Irfan Bhattaar was riding his tractor in the agricultural field situated in the katcha area of Shah Belo near Chak when a gang of armed men attacked upon him with automatic weapons. As a result, the tractor driver, aged 35, died on the spot.
The body was shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. The cause behind the murder was stated to be ownership issue over the piece of agricultural land in katcha area. No FIR was registered till late evening.
