Traders protest in Larkana against rising crime

LARKANA: A was looted by three armed men of Rs0.1mn cash and other valuables here on Wednesday.

The shop of Raj Kumar is located on busy Royal Road. He told newsmen that criminals came on a bike at about 4 pm to his shop. One of them had covered his face and other two were unknown to him. He said the man with covered face entered the shop, and looted cash and his cell phone at gunpoint. They left the shop on the same bike.

When this news spread, other shopkeepers of the Royal Road closed their shops, blocked the main road, burnt tyres and staged a sit-in.

Talking to media that said that due to negligence of Larkana police crime was on the rise and traders were being looted.

Later SHO Market police station Sartaj Jagirani reached the spot and persuaded the protesters to call off their protest but they refused.

The shopkeepers demanded arrest of criminals involved in the crime and ruthless operation against the criminal gangs so that peace and tranquility prevails in the district.
