KARACHI: The two-day annual function of River Oaks Academy was held here at the academy’s senior branch in PECHS area giving its students an ample opportunity to present their talent to do both co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
A statement said the annual function of the River Oaks Academy was organized in view of its tradition to offer an integrated curriculum to its students where co-curricular activities and studies go hand in hand. The statement said that it was a fun-filled event where all children from the toddlers of Play Group to the Grade 11 students of the school actively participated.
The statement said that audience of the show was enthralled by diverse skits, plays, and dance performances by the students who took part in the show. There were parodies and humorous skits as well as a skit with a lesson at the end of the show that tug at the audience’s heartstrings. Dance performances to famous songs were also part of the show, said the statement.
It was basically a confidence-building activity which helped children from every age group to have the confidence and ability to express themselves openly without hesitation, it said. The show was a combined effort of the teachers and students under the guidance of the academy’s Principal Aasim Karim to help showcase exceptional display of talent possessed by youth of the present day. The activity on both days was held at Senior Branch of the academy in PECHS Block-6 in the evening after regular school hours.
