LAHORE: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that India had violated the formula of the division of the sub continent by unlawfully occupying Kashmir at the time of partition by and the Kashmiris were protesting against that for the last seventy years.
Addressing a Black Day programme of the Ahbab Convention at the Punjab University, he said that the Kashmiris had the right of self determination and their liberation movement was destined to succeed. He impressed upon the UN and the world conscience to abandon its criminal silence over the bloodshed in Kashmir and take prompt steps to solve the issue.
The JI Secretary General noted that the Islami Jamiat e Talaba had always promoted healthy and purposeful activities and exposed the secular elements striving for free atmosphere at the campus. He urged the IJT to ensure improvement of the moral values and academic standards of the varsity besides strict following of the norms and the respect of the teaching community.
