University of Karachi wins Agha Hasan Abdi All Karachi Declamation contest

KARACHI:The University of Karachi lifts Agha Hasan Abdi All Karachi Declamation contest held at Fast University of Science and Technology, KU Public Relations Office announced on Tuesday.

Kashaaf Iqbal student of chemical engineering department and Amir Bilal student of department of public administration clinched the team trophy while Kashaaf Iqbal declared the best Urdu speaker of contest.

On other hand, Hafsa Tahir student of mass communication department declared the best English speaker and Moiz Ahmed student of department of spaces science was the second best English speaker of tournament.

The Vice Chancellor, Karachi University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan, while congratulating the winning students expressed that students who are regularly participating and winning the declamation contest around the country have helped the University of Karachi in retaining its lost glory.

In past, the students of Karachi University used to win such competition very often and after a gap these youngsters are winning trophies once again.” The KU VC Professor Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan also expressed that Karachi University is providing platform and facilities to the dedicating students so that they could utilized their skills at different forums.

He also acknowledged that the KU Students’ Advisor Office is providing proper training and support to the talented students. He said that the students have proven that if they get chances they could deliver best result.

We have to create a society which gives equal chance to every individual to express themselves and varsities can play a major role in promoting a dialogue culture among masses.”
