Karachi:As many as 2,096 police officials and personnel have been tested positive for coronavirus in Sindh out of which 16 embraced martyrdom, Spokesperson for Sindh Police told PPI on Saturday.
He informed that 171 new COVID-19 cases had been reported in the last 48 hours and 1,584 officials and personnel were still under treatment across Sindh province. He said 496 infected policemen had recovered from COVID-19.
He further informed that the best available treatment was being provided to officials and personnel suffering from coronavirus. At least 16 officials and personnel have died due to coronavirus in Sindh so far out of which 14 were reported from Karachi and two from Hyderabad.
