18-hour-loadshedding, heatwave go together in Khairpur villages

Khairpur:The people of all Khairpur district villages continued to face power load-shedding of upto 18 hours within 24 hours on daily basis amid crippling heat wave, making the life of people miserable.

The power load shedding has hit hard business and social activities in villages. There is no respite in power outages despite formation of Imran Khan’s government in the country, who used to make big claims during sit-ins that power load-shedding would be brought under control when he came to power.

Khairpur district has a hot climate where the maximum average temperature in June-July remain 46 to 48 °C in summer. This hot weather sometimes costs human lives. Khairpur district’s cities and towns are also hit hard by load-shedding amid heat, where six hours loadshedding in 24 hours is being carried out. There is a need to bring a halt in load-shedding so that people could take a sigh of relief.

Dry heat in the district is experienced from April to August. In Khairpur district, 2.4 million population is being hit hard by 6 to 18 hours electricity load shedding in towns and villages, respectively, in 24 hours on a daily basis as the authorities have adopted deep silence over this issue.

It seemed that there is no merciful leader, who can resolve this issue. Imran Khan during political campaigns on containers and election drive have made big claims of resolving power outages issue, but there is no progress yet as 6 to 18 hours power outages continue to hit people hard.
