Islamabad, June 26, 2018 (PPI-OT): Scientifically advanced nations are leading the world today as science has revolutionized the entire world, and without it no nation could make progress, said Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) Chairman Dr. Qaiser Majeed Malik on Tuesday.
He was addressing the inaugural session of a two-day Project Formulation Workshop for R and D organizations of the Ministry of Science and Technology at PSF on June 26, 2018. Prof. Dr. Shafiq-ur-Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Kohat University of Science and Technology, PSF Member Finance Mr. Tafakhur Ali Asadi and PSF Secretary Dr. Raja Raziul Hasnain were also present on this occasion.
The workshop is aimed at training researchers from R and D Organizations of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Researchers from NIE, NIO, CIIT, NUST, PCSIR, PCRWR and PMNH are attending the workshop.
The PSF Chairman said that the workshop is very important for scientists to equip them with the skills of preparing fund winning project proposals. He said that PSF is providing financial support for projects under its various programmes like research support programme, R and D Industry Programme, Natural Sciences Linkage Programme, Institutional Support Programme, Funding for Scientific Societies academies etc. Dr. Qaiser Majeed Malik hope that the workshop will help researchers in understanding the priority areas and funding process of the Foundation.
Prof. Dr. Shafiq-ur-Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Kohat University of Science and Technology, as the resource person of the workshop shared his experiences regarding qualities of fund-winning project proposals.
