ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has said that PTI has submitted details of its accounts to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Addressing a news conference outside the ECP on Tuesday, he said millions of transactions were made in the accounts of PML-N and PPP, and they must clarify their position in this regard. While referring to one hundred million rupees funds transferred from the PPP to PPP-Parliamentarians, Farrukh Habib pointed out how it is possible that one political party donated 100 million rupees funds to another one. He said this was the reason that these two parties always avoided scrutiny.
Pakistan reaffirms support to Kashmiris’ struggle
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reaffirmed the support to the Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle against Indian oppression till the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination as enshrined in the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions. In a statement on the occasion of Yaum-e-shuhada-e-Kashmir on Tuesday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said the government and people of Pakistan pay homage to the 22 sons of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who laid down their lives fighting the brutal Dogra forces in Srinagar in 1931.
The courage of these martyrs galvanized an unparalleled struggle for self-determination in 1931 that continues till date. He said over 390 Kashmiris have been martyred by the Indian Occupation Forces in IIOJK since August 5th, 2019. During this year alone, the Indian Occupation Forces have extra-judicially killed eighty-five innocent Kashmiris including young boys and women; arbitrarily arrested and detained 537 Kashmiris; and destroyed 31 houses of Kashmiri people.
The unabated Indian repression over the past seven decades, has failed to break the will of the Kashmiri people. The Spokesperson said we once again call upon the international community, particularly the United Nations and human rights organizations, to investigate the persistent extra-judicial killings of Kashmiris by Indian Occupation Forces and bring the perpetrators of these heinous crimes to justice.
FM calls for collective support to consultative process for political solution to Afghan issue)
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has called for collective support to the consultative process for a political solution to the Afghan issue. In a statement on Tuesday, he said deterioration of the situation in Afghanistan will negatively impact the neighboring countries the most. He said Pakistan is fulfilling its responsibilities for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The Foreign Minister said Pakistan has been hosting three million refugees for several decades despite having limited resources. He said we want that these Afghan citizens return to their country with dignity. He said in case of civil war in Afghanistan, Pakistan will not afford any more refugees on its soil.
21 succumb to corona in country during last 24 hours
ISLAMABAD: The vaccination drive against the Covid-19 is underway across the country to prevent spread of the disease. According to latest updates issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), more than 3.942 million people have been so far fully vaccinated while more than 15.941 people partially vaccinated. The total confirmed Covid cases in the country at the moment are over 976,000. Over 1590 new confirmed Covid cases and twenty one deaths due to the disease were reported across the country during the last twenty four hours.

Indonesian CG visits Mohenjo Daro along with family
LARKANA: Consul General of Indonesia Dr June Kuncoro visited world heritage monuments of Mohenjo Daro here on Tuesday along with his family members. He went through the ruins of great bath, stupa, museum and other historical places and expressed his keen interest into the historical places. He was briefed about the historical importance of the site by posted guide Javed Shaikh.
He said on the occasion that the old stupa of Gotam Budh was also found in his country Indonesia which was prepared in 7th century by his followers. He said they used to live there and worship it at that time. He said stupa of Sindh’s Mohenjo Daro is 200 years older than that of found in Indonesia which proved that Sindh at that time was very much established.
He said these stupa prove that followers of Gotam Budh were living in several parts of the world comfortably. He said Sindh’s great culture is thousands of years old which should be properly preserved and taken care of for the world community to visit frequently and get surprised. The family also procured mud artificial artefacts from a vendor as a treasure for their memory.
City police arrest two drug peddler
KARACHI: District City police on Tuesday arrested two accused involved in drug trafficking within the limits of Baghdadi and Nabi Baksh police stations areas of the city. The police raided on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) City Sarfaraz Nawaz and arrested two accused identified as Sabir Ali and Muhammad Ayoob. The police have recovered 1200 gram of hashish from the possession of accused Earlier, a case of drug trafficking against accused Mohammad Yousuf has been registered in Eidgah police station. The accused were arrested while selling drugs during snap checking and patrolling. A case has been registered against the arrested accused at Baghdadi police station.
