Three people died and one is missing after a boat carrying sixteen laborers capsized in the Indus River on Monday near village Yaqoob Manaro due to strong winds.
A total of 16 people were on board when the boat capsized. Twelve passengers were rescued,
According to local sources, the passengers were laborers crossing the river to get to their workplace. The accident occurred due to strong winds which caused the boat to become unstable and overturn.
The deceased have been identified as Mst. Habi wife of Bado Manaro, Mst. Shan wife of Hanif Manaro, Habibullah son of Ajeeb Manaro, and Isa son of Qasim Manaro.
The bodies of the three drowned individuals have been recovered from the river. Locals confirmed that the search for the last missing person is ongoing.
