Three youths, including two brothers, were killed and two others seriously injured in a devastating road accident near Thatta on Saturday night, when an unknown vehicle allegedly hit their car and fled.
The tragic collision occurred on Pathan Colony Road, part of the Thatta-Sujawal highway, when a car traveling from Thatta to Dero was hit by another vehicle, causing it to overturn. Inayat Soomro, Mumtaz Soomro, and their cousin Faizan Soomro, all residents of Ranta near Dero and occupants of the overturned car, died on the spot.
Niaz Soomro and Suhail Memon, who were also traveling in the same car, were seriously injured in the accident. Local Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ayaz Shah Shirazi, along with emergency relief units, immediately arrived at the scene.
The bodies of the deceased and the injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Thatta. After necessary procedures, the bodies were handed over to the grieving families, who then departed for the Ranta area near Dero.
This profound loss cast a deep pall of grief over Dero city. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies have so far been unsuccessful in identifying or arresting the driver of the unknown vehicle involved in the tragic incident.
