The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast today that various regions of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Islamabad, upper Sindh, and northeastern Balochistan, may experience rain with strong winds and thunderstorms, possibly with hail.
The expected weather conditions are quite different from the ongoing hot and dry weather in other parts of the country.
The current temperatures recorded this morning provide a glimpse of the weather change. In Islamabad, it was a mild 23 degrees Celsius, while Lahore and Peshawar had slightly warmer conditions at 28 degrees Celsius. Karachi recorded a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, indicating a hot day ahead.
Further north, Quetta and Gilgit had temperatures of 21 degrees Celsius, while the hilly location of Murree remained cool at 14 degrees Celsius. Muzaffarabad recorded a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, indicating relatively moderate weather.
These changes in temperature reflect different weather patterns in Pakistan, emphasizing the potential for severe weather in specific regions. Residents of the mentioned areas are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions in view of the forecasted weather changes.
