Chinese group’s investment sought in Larkana Special Economic Zone

A delegation led by Tabani Group Chairman Hamza Tabani today met Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo at the Sindh Secretariat, with a delegation from China’s renowned infrastructure company, Shandong Hi-Speed Group, also attending the meeting.

The Shandong Hi-Speed Group delegation was led by its Chairman, Mr Xu Xiang. The meeting discussed in detail the prospects for promoting investment, industrial development and economic cooperation in Sindh. The Chinese group expressed keen interest in investment and cooperation in various sectors, particularly infrastructure, transport, energy and logistics.

The meeting reviewed prospects for joint investment in various strategic sectors in Sindh. The delegation discussed investment opportunities available in the province and ways to promote economic cooperation with Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo.

The provincial minister said the Sindh government would provide all possible facilities and support to investors to promote foreign investment in the province. He said Sindh offered vast opportunities for investment in infrastructure and other key sectors.

Dharejo also encouraged the Chinese delegation to explore investment opportunities in infrastructure projects in Karachi and other districts of Sindh, including the Larkana Special Economic Zone. He said the provincial government welcomed foreign investment aimed at promoting industrial and economic activities in Sindh. Secretary Industries and Commerce Shadia Jaffer and other relevant officials were also present at the meeting.
