The netball competitions of the 35th National Games are starting from December 4, for which the Pakistan Netball Federation has finalized the schedule. In this four-day competition to be held at the PSB Coaching Centre, fourteen of the country’s best teams will compete against each other for the prestigious title.
Pakistan Netball Federation Secretary General Muhammad Riaz said today that eight men’s and six women’s teams will participate in the tournament, which have been divided into two separate groups to determine the semi-finalists.
In the men’s competitions, Group A includes Pakistan WAPDA, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Pakistan Army. While in Group B, teams from Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Police, Punjab, and Balochistan will compete.
In the women’s competitions, Group A includes teams from Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while in Group B, teams from Sindh, Punjab, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir will compete for supremacy.
The men’s tournament will start on December 4 with group stage matches, which include matches between Pakistan WAPDA vs Pakistan Army, Sindh vs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Navy vs Balochistan, and Punjab vs Pakistan Police. In other matches of the day, Pakistan WAPDA will face Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Army will face Sindh, Pakistan Navy will face Pakistan Police, and Punjab will face Balochistan.
The group stage matches for the men’s teams will also continue on December 5, featuring Pakistan WAPDA against Sindh, Pakistan Army against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab against Pakistan Navy, and Pakistan Police against Balochistan.
The women’s competitions will begin on December 4, with Pakistan Army facing Pakistan WAPDA and Sindh facing Punjab. The next day, on December 5, Gilgit-Baltistan will compete against Pakistan WAPDA, Punjab against Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan Army against Gilgit-Baltistan, and Sindh will face Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
After the preliminary rounds, the semi-finals for both men and women will be held on December 6. The championship will conclude on December 7, the day when the final classification matches, the third-position contest, and the title-deciding final matches will be played.
